Art from the ocean
Our chef Alex shares some plating tips and the latest trends.

Nordic look
Make ribbons or chunks of vegetables and scatter herbs on a dish to garnish for seemingly effortless style. ‘Gone Fishing’ by the Danish chef and food stylist Mikkel Karstadt is a good place to look for inspiration; follow him on Instagram.

Stay centred
Taking a more centred approach to plating frames the food and brings a more composed feel, each of the different elements come together on the plate.

Hide and seek
Layering adds an element of playfulness and surprise to the dish. Think a puffed rice cracker covering crab meat, thinly sliced radishes hiding a yummy sea bass tartare...

Natural ceramics
Choose your ceramics wisely. They can make or break your dish. Go neutral and natural to let your food shine. Pick a dish colour that will complement and enhance the food, working as part of the colour scheme.

Super Bowl
Bowl food is a massive trend, with cookbooks and restaurants to match.
